Grid management is the optimising of electricity generation, transmission, distribution
and usage for all grid stakeholders.
- An electrical grid is a network that supports electricity generation, transmission, distribution, storage and control. Modern grids are migrating to include demand response opportunities, distributed generation systems and "smart grids.
- "Grid management requires the optimisation of range of technologies and stakeholders.
- Grid management is:
- optimisation of power delivery to end usersoptimisation of the generation assets on the grid
- the interface between electricity generators and users
- the management and usage of electricity distribution systems - the poles and wiresthe integration of energy storage systems.
