CO2 Capture Summary
Carbon Dioxide Capture Summary - Part 1
Carbon capture utilisation and storage is made up of four independent but integrated elements. There are three major carbon dioxide capture pathways for fossil fuel power production.
- Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage is made up of four broad elements:
- Carbon Dioxide Capture
- Carbon Dioxide Transport
- Carbon Dioxide Utilisation
- Carbon Dioxide Storage
- Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage may be used to reduce emissions from a range of industrial sources including the power generation sector.

Carbon Dioxide Capture Technology Summary - Part 2
There are three major capture technology classes for power generation capture applications.
- The first step of carbon capture and storage is capture - separating the carbon dioxide from the other gases present. There are three primary classes of capture technologies.
- While some carbon capture are commercially mature and proven, they have not been used in power generation applications at scale.
- Given the principles of each separation task and the requirements of the capture process - not all are compatible or effective combinations.
